What
does “IDS” stand for?
IDS stands for “Intelligent
Debt Solutions.” The IDS system is used by the SPL
to present settlement and payment options to its debtors
What is
an SPL?
An SPL, or “Service Provider Licensee,” is the primary
creditor, collection agency or legal recovery firm licensing the
Apollo IDS system under the terms and conditions of the Service
Provider Hosting Agreement.
How much
does the system cost?
IDS Collect is a transactional pricing model. IDS Pay is a licensing
fee plus a transactional fee.

How does
the licensing of your system work?
Apollo grants a license of
its Intelligent Debt Solutions (IDS) system to primary creditors,
collection agencies and legal recovery firms (Service Provider Licensee
or SPL) through a Service Provider Hosting Agreement.
What is
the Service Provider Hosting Agreement?
The Service Provider Hosting Agreement is the agreement which allows
the SPL to use the IDS system. The IDS system is used to present
settlement and payment options to its debtors. Under the terms of
the Service Provider Hosting Agreement, the SPL maintains full control
and ownership of all data, transactions and settlement terms.
What is
“Decisioning Intelligence?”
Decisioning Intelligence is the process that allows the SPL to present
the debtor with a set of offers that best fits the debtor’s
ability to pay. The IDS system pulls a credit report, parses the
report, merges it with current account data and runs it against
multiple settlement rules to determine the optimal settlement offers
for each debtor.
When is
a debtor’s credit report pulled?
The IDS system pulls a credit report on behalf of the SPL from the
bureau selected by the SPL. When the debtor logs in to settle the
debt, their credit report is pulled in real-time for use in Decisioning
Intelligence.
Does the
debtor’s credit report get pulled every time they log in?
It depends. If the SPL sets the credit report age to zero, then
a new credit report will be pulled every time the IDS system uses
Decisioning Intelligence to create a set of settlement offers to
the debtor. If the SPL sets the report age to 30, then the IDS system
will check to see if a current credit report has already been pulled
in the last 30 days. If a current report has already been pulled,
then the IDS system will use the existing report and the SPL will
not be charged for an additional report.
Who pays
for the credit report?
The SPL (Service Provider Licensee) pays for the credit report.

How is
the system hosted?
Currently the IDS system is
an n-Tier .NET web service application hosted by SBC Global.
Where
is the system hosted?
The system is hosted by SBC in a secure SAS 70 Type II-rated data
center.
Can we
host the system ourselves?
The system is currently licensed
as a web-hosted platform. If you are interested in hosting the IDS
system at your location, please contact an Apollo sales representative
at 949-399-1000 or email us at sales@apolloenterprise.com.
What measures
are taken to ensure my data is safe in the physical location where
it is hosted?
All client data resides in
the SBC data center in a non-commingled environment. SBC provides
24/7 managed Intrusion Detection Services, including onsite tape
backup services. SBC is responsible for all physical and intrusion
security. The data center is a highly secure facility with numerous
layers of physical security including, but not limited to, armed
security guards, dual layer biometrically controlled access (badge
access and palm scanning) within the facility and video surveillance.
SBC provides an audited Managed Hosting Service Level Agreement
(SLA) between SBC and Apollo.
How are
backups of my data handled?
Automatic tape backups are
performed and managed by SBC Engineering as part of the Service
Level Agreement (SLA) between SBC and Apollo.
Is
your hosting facility SAS 70-rated?
Yes. The hosting facility is
a SAS 70 Type II-rated data center.
How is
the debtor’s payment information protected and stored during
and after the transaction to prevent fraudulent use?
Encrypted data is stored securely in a tiered, firewalled database
server at SBC’s SAS 70 Type II-rated data center. Additionally,
we have incorporated the First Data secure sign token authentication
technology to provide an additional layer of data security and user
authentication.

Are you
a collection agency, or do you just license the software to your
clients?
We are not a collection agency,
nor do we collect on behalf of our clients.
Can I
still use my collection software and dialer software with your system?
Yes. The Apollo IDS system
will integrate with any existing collections software platform.
Can we
pull credit report data out of the system and import it to our internal
systems? How does that work?
Yes. Please contact your representative
to learn more.
Can I
still use my portfolio management and portfolio scoring products
with your system?
Yes. The IDS system’s Portfolio Manager allows you to manage
the debt lifecycle within the IDS system. Debt profiles may include
scoring variables generated by internal systems for both settlement
decisions and portfolio management rules within the IDS system.
